Guru Rinpoche with Consorts and Nagas
This beautiful and fairly large thangka shows Guru Rinpoche (Padmasambhava) with his two consorts, Mandarava and Yeshe Tsogyal. The primordial Buddha Kuntuzanpo and Kuntuzanmo are shown in union at the top. The assembly is shown emerging from Dhanakosha Lake where two Naga nymphs are making offerings. Guru Rinpoche's face is painted sweetly. The landscape and water also shows good mastery. Size: Canvas -21" x 28" Brocade - 32" x 53"
